Marlene's Favorite Verses I started thinking about Bible
verses and the Words of God I think about most often.
I realized that whatever is going on in my
life usually directs my mind to verses that comfort me in those
circumstances. Here are a few I meditate on often.

		Rev.
		1:8 “I am the
Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End,”

I know beauty is in the eye, or ears, of the
		beholder.
Something moves my heart whenever I hear
this or say it, as it reminds me that time is only a measure made by
		man.
God is eternal with no beginning or ending, He
		always was and will be.
Someday I will step out of the time frames
and into eternity with my Savior.
When I rededicated my life to Christ, the enemy would
tell me I am nothing, so these verses comforted and strengthened me:

		1
		John 4:4 “Greater
is He who is in you than he who is in the world”
Because I am saved, I know the Holy Spirit is with me, and Christ
		defeated Satan on

		Philippians 4:13 “I
can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

		Ephesians 6:12 “For
we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and
		powers. . .”We
are born into a spiritual battle which we fight all our lives and so
many people never even know it.
I try to start every day with a verse.

		Psalms 118:24”This
is the day the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

		When
things get crazy around me, and I get stressed, I remind myself of 1
		Corinthians 14:33 “For
God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”
		If
it isn’t from God, I don’t want it!
Salvation is a free gift from
God to all who believe in Jesus Christ, but it is a lifestyle also.
I always want to be thankful for all God has
		done.
It is with an attitude of humble thanks that I
		think of these verses:

		Mathew 20:16 “So
the last shall be first and the first last: for many be called, but few
		chosen”
		 2
Corinthians 5:7 “We walk by faith, not by sight.”

Knowing some how, some way, for some reason he chose me, and planted his
faith in my heart fills me with awe and wonder.
The Bible is so full of encouragement and wisdom, a
living word for living life. – Marlene Meredith |
